Eyes on computer-mobile all day, how to take care of eyes

 


You have to keep an eye on the computer and mobile for various tasks throughout the day. Sitting in front of the computer for eight to nine hours, working and talking on the phone all day. All in all, it is very normal to have eye problems. So now most people use glasses. If you use a computer and mobile constantly, you must take care of your eyes.

Let's know how to take care of our eyes-


1. While working, make sure that extra light from all around does not come into your computer.


2. Computer light should be adjusted to keep the eyes healthy.


3. Blinking the eyelids every three to four seconds solves minor eye problems. So remove the eyelids frequently.


4. Do not work continuously. Also, rest your eyes by closing them occasionally. It has good eyesight.

5. Excessive use of computers and mobile phones can cause the problem of drying the retina of the eye. So if you do this 'Eye Blinking' exercise, your eyes will be good.


6. Rest your eyes in between work. After 30 minutes, stop working for two to three minutes. This will increase the blood supply to the eyes and keep the eye muscles active.


7. Don't sit all the time. Walk around.


8. Occasionally splash water in the eyes. You can splash water in the eyes 10 to 15 times throughout the day. It cools the eyes.

9. Eye drops moisten the eyes and increase blood circulation. However, do not give cold or extremely hot water to the eyes.


10. You can eat a lot of green vegetables, nuts, and oranges. These foods keep the cornea of the eye healthy.


12. Get enough sleep. At least eight hours of sleep is essential after a day's work.

Spending long hours in front of a computer or mobile screen can strain your eyes and lead to discomfort or potential eye problems. Here are some tips to help you take care of your eyes:

  1. Follow the 20-20-20 rule: Every 20 minutes, take a 20-second break and focus on something at least 20 feet away. This helps reduce eye strain and prevents eye fatigue.

  2. Adjust screen settings:

    • Ensure that your screen's brightness and contrast are comfortable for your eyes.
    • Adjust the text size and screen resolution to make the text easy to read.
  3. Proper lighting:

    • Avoid glare and reflections on your screen by positioning your computer or mobile device to minimize direct sunlight or artificial lighting.
    • Use indirect or ambient lighting in your workspace to reduce strain on your eyes.
  4. Blink regularly: Blinking helps moisten your eyes, reducing dryness and irritation. Be conscious of blinking when using screens for extended periods.

  5. Maintain proper screen distance: Position your screen at eye level, about 20-24 inches away from your eyes, and adjust the screen's height and angle to minimize strain.

  6. Use blue light filters:

    • Many devices offer blue light filter settings that reduce the amount of blue light emitted from screens. This can help reduce eye strain and improve sleep quality, especially if you use screens before bedtime.
  7. Lubricate your eyes:

    • Use artificial tears or lubricating eye drops to keep your eyes moist if you experience dryness or discomfort.
  8. Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to maintain overall eye health and reduce dryness.

  9. Take breaks: Schedule regular breaks from your screen time. Use these breaks to stretch, move around, and give your eyes a rest.

  10. Consider computer glasses: Specialized computer glasses can help reduce glare and blue light exposure, providing added comfort during long screen sessions.

  11. Maintain good posture: Sit up straight and ensure your screen is at eye level to reduce strain on your neck and shoulders.

  12. Get regular eye exams: Visit an eye specialist for regular check-ups to monitor your eye health and address any vision-related issues.

  13. Limit screen time before bed: Exposure to screens before bedtime can disrupt sleep patterns. Try to avoid screens for at least an hour before you plan to sleep.

  14. Follow the 20-20-20 rule during screen-free breaks to relax your eyes and reduce digital eye strain.
